Coffi baa

A unique coffee horse box Est in 2024, based in the South Wales Valleys.

The Horse box

The 1980s ‘rice’ box. It’s as retro as they come. Towed by yours truly, we can pitch up anywhere within reason. We are completely power independent and free to roam like a mountain pony.

Who are we?

We are a female run small, Welsh business with big enthusiasm. We sell high quality, locally Welsh roasted speciality coffee. We are primarily interested in high quality, great flavour, favourite and new flavours on our menu.

Environmentally conscious and free to roam, we are powered by gas and batteries. Solar to come in the future (it’s awkward with a dome shaped roof).

Packaging

We use ‘Decent’ packaging that are sustainable, plant-based, and commercially compostable B Corp Certified company. We primarily choose pink cups (pink to make the boys wink). This is because …I love pink and there’s enough beige in the world. Coffi Baa has personality.

Cakes, snacks, cold drinks

It’s all about the flavour, the look and a respected supplier. I mix suppliers to keep it fresh but enjoy using the local businesses near me for cakes, and canned water. I like to sell more ‘grown up’ crisps and fizzy drinks, my target customers are the people who appreciates great coffee and great products. I love it when I customer goes ‘oh! They have my favourite crisps!’ or ‘oh! I haven’t had that drink in ages!’ I like to make customers happy with their treats and snacks. They’re my priority.

I pride myself on excellent service. I’m an 80s baby. I know what great customer service is and involves. I like people. I like to chat and make people happy. Perhaps being a people pleaser (I’ve got better) is one of the assets of running a small business ;)

The look

Aesthetically pleasing. Atmosphere matters. Eye catching nothings matter. Perhaps not necessarily for everyone, but to me and coffi baa, it’s important. It adds to the customer experience. This is a nice place to visit. It’s different, fun and unique. People love it! They like to step up onto the ramp, look into the little coffee shop like a door into a Wendy house, with pictures and fairy lights and pink things and watching the barista make the drinks. It’s a show. It’s entertainment.

Where to find us

At the moment we work weekends for events (public and private). But we are looking for a permanent home in the Valleys. We are open to suggestions. Currently we are focussed of private bookings and larger events.
